I was born and raised in Salem, Oregon and graduated from Oregon State with a B.S. degree in Elementary Education. Early in my professional career I made may way from the classroom into the nonprofit sector and I quickly found that the world of organization management and fundraising is where I belong. Over the span of my decades-long nonprofit career I’ve served in many leadership positions including tenures with CASA of Multnomah County, the I Have a Dream Foundation of Oregon, the Community Child Care Center in New Hampshire and Working Wonders Children’s Museum, formerly located in Bend.
Serving as executive director for Healthy Beginnings will allow me to combine my teaching background, organization management skills and nonprofit fundraising experience. I’m excited to reconnect with my roots in education and to have the chance to further my commitment to and passion for helping children. Here at Healthy Beginnings I’m fortunate to be part of an excellent team, where we are all working to ensure that all of our region’s children enter school ready to learn, contribute, and thrive.
